Job Summary

The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for leading and teaching group exercise classes in a safe and appropriate manner, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and teach group exercise classes, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for participants
  • Develop and implement new class formats and programs to meet the needs of our members
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting members and guests by name and delivering world-class service at all times
  • Collaborate with the Group Exercise Supervisor and Fitness Manager to ensure smooth class operations and effective communication
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in group exercise instruction, incorporating new ideas and techniques into classes
Requirements
  • General group exercise or specialty certification in area of classes taught at HWC within 6 months of hire
  • BLS (Basic Life Saving)/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
