Group Fitness Instructor

The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for leading and teaching group exercise classes in a safe and effective manner. Classes include Cycling, Body Sculpt, Hard Body, 45 Core, and Boot Camp.

• Perform safe and effective group exercise classes
• Arrive before class time to set up and stay after for proper cleaning
• Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests
• Find substitute instructors for own classes when needed and notify the Group Exercise Supervisor and/or Fitness Manager
• Follow established procedures for equipment maintenance and reporting
• Enforce facility rules, regulations, and policies
• Respond to emergency situations according to facility policy and procedures
• Maintain high level of professionalism and adhere to organizational standards of behavior
• Assume other duties and projects as assigned

• General group exercise or specialty certification in area of classes taught within 6 months of hire
• BLS (Basic Life Saving)/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required
