Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our scientific policy development team. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping us redefine the way laboratory care is coordinated for millions of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Research and summarize evidence-based scientific literature to inform policy development
- Draft new policies and revise existing ones to ensure they retain acceptable quality in content and structure
- Investigate scientific questions raised by clients or prospective clients and provide expert responses
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless policy implementation
- Provide inter-departmental communication regarding policy updates
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Biology, Medical Technology, or related field
- Experience creating/revising medical policies and/or clinical practice guidelines within a managed care organization or similar health care environment
- Understanding of process improvement principles
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
- American Medical Writers Association Essential Skills or equivalent
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory testing methods
- Customer service experience
- Previous health plan experience
