We are seeking a highly skilled physician scientist to join our team at the Moffitt Cancer Center. As a member of our Clinical Science Division, you will have the opportunity to expand translational research and contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
As a physician scientist, you will be responsible for continuing your own independent research in the field of cancer, with a focus on clinical expertise and training in medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, or pathology.
You will join a tumor-specific department based on your research and clinical interests and participate in patient care, facilitating interdisciplinary team science.
Our team is committed to developing clinical trials and translational research studies that capitalize on Moffitt's expertise in precision medicine, immune and cellular therapy, and the evolution of cancer development and resistance.
You will become a member of one of our five major CCSG Research Programs, including Molecular Medicine, Tumor Immunology, Cancer Biology and Evolution, Cancer Epidemiology, and Health Outcomes & Behavior.
In addition, you will have access to our four Centers of Excellence in Lung Cancer, Skin Cancer, Evolutionary Therapy, and Immunization & Infection Research in Cancer, which support transdisciplinary research and infrastructure.
We offer a generous start-up package, access to existing tissue and data resources, numerous collaborative and supportive faculty, large patient volumes to support research, and outstanding shared resources that provide state-of-the-art technology and data science expertise.
Qualifications:
- MD +/- PhD Degree
- Board certified (or eligible) in Hematology/Oncology
- Florida Medical License
- DEA License
- ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff
Requirements:
- Science Training
- Strong Research focus on cancers
- Assistant, Associate, or Professor level rank
