Are you a detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication abilities and a dedication to customer satisfaction? Butler Ag is seeking a Service Consultant to enhance our service operations. In this position, you will manage and organize the schedules of service technicians, process invoices for work orders, and effectively communicate quotes, job statuses, and scheduling updates.

Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM (CST)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Service Manager in estimating and delivering service contracts for upcoming jobs in the service department.
  • Delegate tasks and work areas to Service Technicians based on their expertise and skills.
  • Proactively seek customer feedback, anticipate potential issues, and respond promptly.
  • Address and follow up on employee concerns and issues.
  • Review all repair work orders for accuracy regarding parts, materials, and labor, and authorize the release of equipment for customer delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager or supervisor on all aspects of the service department's operations.
  • Report all customer complaints to the Service Manager.
  • Support the implementation of Contamination Control Guidelines within the team.
  • Regularly meet with the Service Manager to assess department performance, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate technical and product knowledge of all equipment within the dealership's area of responsibility.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties.
  • Present a professional image of Butler Ag in all customer and community interactions.
  • Engage in company-sponsored training to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in company-driven communication efforts, including customer events and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with colleagues, management, and support resources, emphasizing teamwork and exceptional customer service.
  • Organize, communicate, and assign responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
  • Provide timely feedback to recognize employee performance and encourage self-development.
  • Coach employees on assignments, offering technical expertise as necessary.
  • Assist in selecting, training, and developing employees in line with departmental goals.
  • Promote the vision, mission, and values of Butler Ag.
  • Assist the heavy equipment service manager as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or technical school education, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Solid technical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
