This role involves a nationwide search, allowing the selected candidate to be based anywhere across the United States.

We are currently in pursuit of an Acute Care Registered Nurse with proven Leadership experience in quality assurance, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.

The RN (Psychiatric) Field Representative is responsible for evaluating healthcare organizations throughout the nation.

Utilizing systems analysis and inductive reasoning skills, the representative assesses the level of compliance of healthcare organizations with relevant standards and the effectiveness of care delivery systems.

Engagement with healthcare organization personnel in constructive dialogues on standards-related issues is essential to evaluate compliance and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.

Management reports will be prepared, clearly linking deficiencies in individual standards to potential vulnerabilities within systems and associated organizational risk factors. This information will be communicated effectively to leadership within healthcare organizations in a collegial and constructive manner. Participation in additional Joint Commission activities as assigned by the supervisor is also required.

Required Qualifications:
Ideal candidates must possess a degree from an accredited nursing program and hold a master's degree in a relevant field.

A current professional license in the respective discipline is mandatory at the time of hire and must be maintained throughout employment.

Experience in a Psychiatric Hospital or facility is essential.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years of recent healthcare experience, which includes three years of direct clinical practice in appropriate healthcare settings, along with two years of leadership or senior management experience in accreditation or certification.

Contemporary knowledge and experience in healthcare operations, clinical practices, and the application of performance improvement methodologies to evaluate organizational performance, as well as current research and trends in healthcare practices, are crucial.

Candidates must be familiar with Joint Commission standards and have direct involvement in at least two Joint Commission surveys.

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required, along with strong interpersonal, interviewing, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Part-time candidates must be available to work two weeks (.48 FTE) or three weeks (.7 FTE) per month and provide two or three weeks of availability for scheduling. Full-time positions are also available, requiring four weeks of availability. All roles necessitate 100% nationwide travel.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be capable of observing, in real-time, all types of ongoing healthcare treatment without interrupting the process (including emergency situations). This includes standing for extended periods, walking long distances, lifting, climbing, stooping, pulling, and pushing to thoroughly inspect and observe medical facilities, equipment, and procedures, such as emergency exit protocols and cleanliness standards.

Specific activities include:

- Walking up and down stairways to assess safety and regulatory compliance.
- Removing obstructions to equipment or mechanical areas.
- Examining small and often dirty printed labels on equipment.

Extensive travel is required, including driving to remote locations, flying on small aircraft, and navigating various weather conditions.
