Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team at Tanner Health System. As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, conducting assessments, and implementing interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Supervise and direct the work of other RNs, LPNs, and Nurse Techs as appropriate.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements:
  • Current Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License.
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire into ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L&D, SSU if taking GI call, or Cath Lab.
  • NRP certification within one year of hire into Nursery and L&D.
  • PALS certification within one year of hire in PACU.
Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to temperature/weather extremes, occupational risk, and probability of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens, other potentially infectious diseases, or biomedical/bio-hazardous materials.
