Job Summary

This is a full-time position responsible for evaluating and rehabilitating patients of all ages with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders of functional or neurological origin. The goal is to facilitate the development and maintenance of human communication and swallowing ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing abilities
  • Document patient progress and provide instruction to patients and caregivers
  • May assist senior speech pathologists with program development and provide training to students and interns
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited university-based speech/language pathology program
  • Current license to practice speech/language pathology by the State Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology for Texas
  • Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, preferred
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support
