Job Summary:

True Find Staffing (TFS) is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial heating, ventilating, and cooling units. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and repairing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of the systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC units, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of the systems, using your analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Travel to job sites in our service area, working with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
  • Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs of customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, submitting vehicle inspection reports, and washing the unit regularly.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Maintain and submit monthly mileage logs.
  • Understand company pricing and generate customer invoices at job sites, obtaining customer signatures at completion of jobs.
  • Document installed equipment upon arrival, including make, model, serial number, type, test measurements, and pictures when necessary.
  • Diagnose service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain issues and solutions to customers.
  • Participate in company/industry-provided training for latest technologies.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business, such as newer systems, service contracts, or additional services.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of commercial HVAC service technician experience.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Well-groomed, neat appearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Clean criminal background record for the last ten years.
  • Clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
