Therapist Eating Disorders Specialist

As a Therapist Eating Disorders Specialist, you will work as a professional member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in a general hospital setting, providing case management and primary psychotherapy to patients with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides primary individual and family psychotherapy to patients in all phases of treatment, with broad age ranges and additional comorbid diagnoses.
  • Completes all components of the Psychosocial Assessment, using data from patient, family, and treatment providers within designated time frames.
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of the multidisciplinary treatment plan and coordinates treatment plan reviews within established time frames.
  • Attends daily treatment rounds, providing input to and being receptive to input from other members of the treatment team.

Requirements:

  • Master of Arts or Science in a relevant field.
  • Licensed or license eligible in New Jersey.
  • Previous experience in treating eating disorders or inpatient settings.
