Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist is a licensed professional responsible for the simulation and treatment of cancer clients by administering the prescribed radiation treatment dose. This role involves performing and assisting in various quality assurance procedures, participating in nursing and follow-up care, and assisting the Radiation Oncologist and physicist with other assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize the MOSAIQ record and Verify System to record and audit daily treatment records, capture daily client charges, and schedule client courses of treatment.
Prepare treatment and simulation rooms, ensuring that linen and supplies are stocked daily and that rooms are maintained, clean, and orderly.
Verify client identification using two patient identifiers (name and DOB) daily prior to treatment and CT simulation, and adhere to no personal cell phone usage at the LINAC and in Simulation room.
Maintain professional, courteous, and cooperative manner with clients, family members, co-workers, and public, and demonstrate competence in performing Radiation Therapy procedures, operating Linear Accelerator, and using RAD CALC and Tumor Loc software for emergency treatment calculations.
