Job Summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Perform focused interviews to identify specific patient needs and assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from healthcare members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient plans of care, prioritizing actions based on patient care requirements.
  • Monitor consistency between patient plans of care and actions of medical staff, performing interventions according to identified priorities and hospital policies.
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic patient environment, initiating and evaluating patient and/or family education.
  • Revises patient plans of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plans of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
  • Documents patient responses to nursing and other interventions, using clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation).
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS card.
  • Successful completion of testing process.
