About the Role

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team of dedicated caregivers. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses in surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Perform various functions, including checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, and preparing instruments for terminal sterilization.
  • Collaborate with the Surgical Team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Provide patient care in the Operating Room, performing in a scrub role and assisting in the circulating role as needed.
  • Assume department leadership in the absence of the supervisor, reviewing surgical schedules and service line shift reports daily to ensure resources are available for surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Completion of a surgical technology program accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of experience in a Surgical Technologist role for internal caregivers, or two years of experience for external caregivers.
