This role is pivotal in managing ongoing relationships to support the assigned Banker(s) in achieving operational efficiencies, maintaining high-quality processes and products, and fostering the retention and growth of banking relationships aligned with the region's strategic goals for expansion, credit quality, and profitability.

In partnership with the assigned Banker(s), this position entails gathering, analyzing, and assessing information to provide informed recommendations regarding the creditworthiness and merits of credit applications from both existing and potential clients.

This role may also offer administrative and credit analysis support (or act as a liaison to other departments to fulfill these tasks) for the assigned Banker(s) as required. Collaboration with colleagues across the organization is essential to successfully fulfill these responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
This position demands a thorough understanding of internal policies and procedures, as well as compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Conducting collection and analysis of financial data is essential to evaluate the creditworthiness and merits of credit applications.

This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing and analyzing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow projections, risk assessments, and personal financial statements.


Ongoing credit monitoring is necessary, which includes performing credit reviews as required (typically on an annual basis) and assessing upcoming loan maturities, borrowing base certificates, identifying trends in credit quality/risk ratings, and ensuring compliance with loan covenants.


Drafting comprehensive written analyses, compiling industry summaries, and making recommendations regarding structure, as well as gathering financial statements and other necessary information to assess the creditworthiness of requests.


Coordinating collateral inspections, site visits, evaluations, and appraisals for upcoming loan maturities, credit reviews, and new requests in accordance with internal policies and procedures.


Requesting loan packages per internal policies and reviewing them for accuracy, completeness, and thoroughness prior to closing to ensure all documentation requirements are satisfied for loans assigned to the respective Commercial/Ag Banking Officer.

Ensuring that loan agreements are complete and compliant with policy.

Facilitating timely loan closing and funding activities.


Engaging with customers and potential clients by proactively promoting the Bank to strengthen commercial/ag banking relationships by identifying and recommending appropriate banking products and services to the assigned Banker.

Working on additional designated credits or special projects as assigned by the Portfolio Manager Team Lead, Regional President, and/or Lead Commercial/Ag Banker:


May participate in presenting credit requests requiring action to the Director Credit Loan Committee, Commercial Credit Loan Committee, and/or Loan Strategy as directed by the assigned Banker(s) or Portfolio Manager Team Lead.


Jointly visiting customers and potential clients with the assigned Banker(s) to promote the Bank while further enhancing and soliciting additional banking relationships.

May also engage in the planning process for the region's Commercial/Ag Banking Department.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is preferred, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, a comprehensive understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, demonstrated problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
