Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department. You will assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintain accurate records, and provide exceptional customer service to our patients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, medication inventory, and pharmacy operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as processing prescriptions, handling cash transactions, and maintaining pharmacy equipment.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, customers, and healthcare providers to promote a positive and supportive environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices, laws, and regulations, and maintain certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
