Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Worker to assist our cooks in preparing meals for students in compliance with government and management directives. The ideal candidate will have six months of food service experience as a food handler or completion of a culinary training program. A current ServSafe (Food Handler) Certification is also required. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an adequate supply of food, preparing vegetables, salads, meats, bread, and desserts, and maintaining kitchen equipment in a safe and sanitary condition. The Culinary Worker will also promote and support positive customer service through the facility.

Responsibilities:

Assist cooks in preparing meals for students

Provide an adequate supply of food and transfer necessary ingredients to the cooking area

Prepare vegetables, salads, meats, bread, and desserts as instructed

Serve all meals when scheduled with a pleasant demeanor and clean-up after service

Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition and ensure the work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times

Requirements:

Six months of food service experience as a food handler or completion of a culinary training program

Current ServSafe (Food Handler) Certification

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Valid driver's license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record
