Job Title: Distribution Engineer

Collabera is seeking a highly skilled Distribution Engineer to join our team. As a Distribution Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems operating from 4kV through 138kV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems.
  • Comply with Client Safety requirements and design and quality expectations.
  • Travel to sites as needed to perform inspections and return to the office to perform engineering design work.
  • Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis, guying calculations, and voltage drop and flicker calculations.
  • Develop permitting documents for different AHJ's.
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred) from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and CAD.
  • Ability to utilize a personal vehicle for customer-related travel.
  • Willingness to perform both field and office work.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments on occasion.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
