Job Overview

Lexical Intelligence, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our team in Washington DC. As a Senior Scientist, you will provide technical support to an ARPA-H Program Manager by serving as a scientific and technical advisor for cutting-edge research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to an ARPA-H Program Manager by serving as a scientific and technical advisor for cutting-edge research projects.
  • Support program managers in development of new research programs, methods, concepts, and operational processes.
  • Support ARPA-H performers and scientists via your field(s) of expertise, knowledge of emerging technologies in this field(s), and your abilities to analyze and solve problems.
  • Provide strategic assessments of methods and technologies related to the development of technologies and devices.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and clinicians to translate research discoveries into real-world applications.
  • Prepare briefings and other documents to include strategic messaging in support of an ARPA-H Program Manager and the transformative programs being supported.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering/ Bioengineering or related scientific field.
  • Skilled in conceiving, planning, and conducting research in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently conduct appropriate analyses designed to offer recommendations, solutions, and alternatives to resolve R&D issues, concerns, problems, or methods.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with scientists, engineers, and oncologists from diverse backgrounds.
  • Passionate about innovation and driven to make a real impact on human health.
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
  • US work authorization (we participate in E-Verify).
Preferred Qualifications

At least 12 years of expertise in optical engineering and/or ultrasound technologies experience in commercialization strategies, pre-clinical and clinical research and/or technology transfer requirements are preferred.

One year or more experience working with ARPA Program Managers.

Published articles in Field of Expertise highly desirable.

Experience preparing briefings and other documents of a biomedical, scientific research, or healthcare nature. Includes support for strategic messaging development.
