Job Summary:

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Sleep Technologist to join our team. As a Sleep Technologist, you will be responsible for providing care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for sleep studies by setting up and preparing equipment, interviewing patients to determine sleep disorder issues, and explaining testing procedures.
  • Perform sleep studies and any additional testing required for sleep disorders.
  • Score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies, educating patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.
  • Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing, determining and reporting needed repairs and replacements.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, taking appropriate action and making decisions with minimal supervision.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program preferred.
  • Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent, or Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • No minimum experience required.
