Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sleep Technologist to join our team at UCHealth. As a Sleep Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for sleep studies by setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting interviews to determine sleep disorder issues, and explaining testing procedures.
  • Perform sleep studies and additional testing as required, scoring and interpreting results to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Communicate test results to patients, educating them about sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, reporting needed repairs and replacements to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to make sound decisions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a preferred background in Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the relevant professional boards, with state licensure as required.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with a valid card in hand before start date.
