Job Title: Veterinary Assistant/Technician Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician Supervisor to join our team at Wedington Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our veterinary department and ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Evaluate Staff: Directly supervise and evaluate the performance of veterinary assistants and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of care and service.
  • Schedule and Coordinate Staff: Schedule and coordinate the work of veterinary assistants and technicians to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Screen and Hire Staff: Screen and hire qualified candidates for veterinary assistant and technician positions, ensuring they meet the necessary qualifications and standards.
  • Mediate Conflicts: Mediate conflicts and disputes between staff members, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Provide Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to veterinary assistants and technicians, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff performance, training, and development.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews of veterinary assistants and technicians, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with Inventory Management: Assist with the management of veterinary supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly stocked and maintained.
  • Support Operations: Provide support to the veterinary team during peak periods, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
  • Monitor Compliance: Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring the clinic meets the highest standards of care and service.
