Salary: $31.12 per hour

About the Position:

The Experience Manager for Family Programs will oversee the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of creative programs that connect children and families to museum exhibits, experiences, and key themes of STEM, creativity, and literacy.

This role is responsible for ensuring that the planning and implementation of these programs align with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic direction.

The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating public programs for children and families, including developing activities and overseeing contracted staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Coordination: Coordinate program logistics, prepare budgets, schedule spaces, confirm set-up details, make travel arrangements, procure supplies, manage A/V needs, produce correspondence, process payments, and create program registrations.
  • Event Support: Assist with event planning, setup, and execution, including working collaboratively to plan and implement programming and events.
  • Communication: Work with the Communications Department to develop content and plans for advertisements, press coverage, web content, and promotional materials.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Maintain timely and accurate program statistics, prepare reports as needed, collect and administer surveys to track visitor engagement and satisfaction.
  • Leadership: Develop clear goals, expectations, and measures for in-person programs that align with overall institutional goals and appeal to a broad general audience.
Requirements:
  • Creative Thinking: Ability to synthesize content into compelling experiences for children ages 1-12.
  • Public Engagement: Engage comfortably and consistently with the public with an aptitude to program management.
  • Organization and Communication: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of creating mission-driven programming, supervising staff, and managing multiple programs concurrently.
  • Cultural Competence: Awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences when working with diverse individuals and organizations.
