Job Overview

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of BAC is to deliver innovative services and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supervise custodial operations efficiently and effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage custodial tasks in designated areas to ensure daily objectives are met.
  • Comprehend contract specifications relevant to the role.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards through regular inspections. Identify performance issues and provide continuous training.
  • Offer ongoing guidance and support to staff to help them reach their personal achievements.
  • Engage in the progressive disciplinary process for employees when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide necessary accommodations to enhance performance.
  • Create work schedules and allocate tasks to team members.
  • Respond to calls and other designated responsibilities as required.
  • Monitor and address urgent requests outside of standard working hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Prepare payroll accurately and punctually.
  • Conduct performance reviews and evaluations for assigned personnel.
  • Perform custodial, maintenance, and additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least three years of custodial experience.
  • A minimum of one year in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to pass a background check for site access.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements where applicable.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean record and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to drive a company or personal vehicle during work hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Three years of experience in floor care.

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Maintain a reasonable pace in relation to assigned duties and physical capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow basic instructions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Reasoning skills to identify issues, evaluate situations, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality performance.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Most tasks are performed indoors with minimal exposure to adverse conditions; some tasks may occur outdoors.
  • Use of personal protective equipment as required.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials, including cleaning agents and biohazards.
  • Required vaccinations and training will be provided by the organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical requirements will vary based on assigned tasks, including repetitive lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds is necessary, with or without reasonable accommodations.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks necessitate manual dexterity.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 10 AM to 6:30 PM.

COMPENSATION:

$19.46 per hour.
