Histopathology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Histopathology Technician to join our team at Ansible Government Solutions, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for accessioning and receiving samples, preparing specimens for analysis, and performing a range of laboratory procedures in Cytology and Surgical Pathology.
Responsibilities
Accession and receive samples into the VA laboratory information system package for in-house testing or send-outs to reference laboratories.
Prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring that the physiologic states of the specimen properties are maintained.
Perform a full range of automated and non-automated laboratory procedures in the areas of Cytology and Surgical Pathology, according to established protocols.
Calibrate, standardize, adjust, and maintain instruments on which trained, verifying correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks and monitoring.
Perform validation studies on various equipment, reagents, and products, and maintain proper records for quality control reports.
Qualifications
Certification in Histopathology
A minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years, with two to three years in an acute care setting preferred.
Experience in U.S. Government facilities is preferred.
No sponsorship is available.
All candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift, lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, and push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
