Job Summary

The National Marrow Donor Program is seeking a skilled Salesforce Software Engineer to join our team. As a Salesforce Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for business needs while balancing effort and feasibility with cost and maintainability. This role involves not only application development, but also business and technical analysis, innovation, collaboration and supporting other technical and business resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC process: Develop high-quality and scalable application logic with Apex and SOQL.
  • Develop highly interactive UI using Visualforce, JavaScript and JQuery technologies.
  • Build custom applications using and integrating with other systems.
  • Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing and Service to implement and rollout cloud applications across NMDP.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test
  • Leverage Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Gather, analyze and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users.
  • Deploy packages to production on a routine cadence.
  • Perform application support for Salesforce products when necessary.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of Lightning Framework, Apex, JavaScript, Aura, and Component-based frameworks.
  • Web development best practices, especially application security.
  • The tradeoffs of development on a multi-tenant platform with known limits.
  • Extensive experience with Sales, Service and Marketing Clouds.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with business and technical teams.
  • Demonstrate understanding and ability to articulate complex requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Developer Advanced Certification(s).
  • Custom development experience on other platforms (i.e., C#, Java, Python).
  • Experience in a Scrum/Agile development environment.
  • Understanding and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools.
  • Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
  • Experience in a non-profit environment.
