Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team of caregivers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, education, and counseling to patients in our Outpatient Executive Health program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutritional care plans, communicate plans, establish a follow-up system, and maintain documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other health disciplines and departments to optimize nutrition care and the patient experience.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on healthy eating habits, nutrition, and wellness.
  • Assess patients for signs and symptoms of nutritional deficiencies, evaluate appropriate fluid and electrolytes, and review laboratory and clinical progress notes.
  • Inform physicians of patients' nutritional status and need for changes in diet, enteral or parenteral feeding, and develop care plans, documentation, and reassessments.
  • Develop and contribute to Cleveland Clinic-sponsored education programs for physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, students, peers, and the public.
  • Participate in program development designed to market and expand departmental services and revenue generation.
  • Support the dietetic internship program as a supervised practice rotation preceptor and class instructor.
  • Complete reports for ongoing productivity tracking.
  • Participate in professional growth activities and attend and contribute to conferences and seminars on nutrition and related topics.
  • Conduct clinical research.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a closely related field.
  • Maintain current licensure to practice dietetics in the current state (LD).
  • Active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD).
  • One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical nutrition or successful completion of a Dietetic Internship Program.
