Job Summary

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Partner to join our team. As a Family Partner, you will provide a structured one-to-one relationship to a parent/caregiver of a Seriously Emotionally Disturbed youth, addressing their emotional and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with Families: Develop a strong rapport with parents/caregivers, engaging them in activities and providing emotional support.
  • Goal-Oriented: Assist parents/caregivers in addressing one or more goals on the youth's treatment plan, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with Care Coordinators, Hub providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Empowerment and Education: Educate, support, and empower parents/caregivers to meet their child's needs, promoting self-sufficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of service delivery, ensuring compliance with agency standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Lived experience as a parent or direct caregiver of a youth with special needs, preferably mental health needs. Experience working with Seriously Emotionally Disturbed youth and their families.
  • Skills: Bilingual Spanish preferred, valid Massachusetts driver's license, and ability to travel offsite.
