They will also perform analyses and select techniques to solve problems and enhance product yield and process flows.
This is a key role in our organization, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Establish high-yielding, cost-effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
- Develop and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization utilizing appropriate statistical analysis software.
- Establish processes based on product specifications.
- Evaluate and validate the cost-effectiveness process and design alternatives based on product manufacturability.
- Understand principles of cost of goods sold and develop process improvements to increase cost effectiveness of manufacturing.
- Understand intellectual property issues relative to processes being developed.
- Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- May serve as a member of cross-functional project teams.
- Understand work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in the engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing. Semiconductor experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001, and EIA/JEDEC standards.
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
- Skills: ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects; proficient with Microsoft Office software suite; multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner; strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
