Position: Quality Systems Inspector I

Location: Irving, TX

Compensation: $19.62/hr

Contract Duration: 2-month contract with potential for extension

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

Role Summary:

The Quality Systems Inspector I is responsible for ensuring that incoming materials meet the specific characteristics and standards outlined in quality protocols. This role involves conducting daily inspections of process controls, managing label control activities, preparing product samples for laboratory analysis, and coordinating shipments to testing facilities. The inspector may also review quality and production records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts incoming inspections of raw and packaging materials, preparing Material Inspection Reports under supervision.
  • Verifies and documents the condition of received components, including nonconforming items for review.
  • Assigns lot control identifiers to all incoming production components.
  • Samples and inspects packaging and chemical components to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Performs audits of processes to confirm compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Prepares and issues finished product labels according to label control protocols.
  • Prepares samples for internal testing or for shipment to designated testing facilities.
  • Maintains and reconciles finished product label inventory.
  • Communicates effectively with vendors and assists with validations as necessary.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of inspection work areas.
  • May assist in testing raw materials in the Chemistry Lab and compiling device history records.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and collects performance data related to assigned tasks.
  • Adheres to the Code of Business Conduct and complies with all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; 1 year of college or technical training preferred.
  • 0-1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with GMP regulations and quality control inspection methods.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in administrative documentation.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and quality assurance processes.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers and relevant software applications.
