Position Overview:

POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Insurance Operations Specialist (IOS) collaborates closely with the Senior Commercial Lines Processor, Licensed Personal Lines Processor, and Accounting and System Administrator.

The IOS is responsible for managing all incoming mail items, preparing documents for distribution, processing company notifications, sorting and distributing faxes, and handling payment transactions.

Compensation for this hourly role is $28.07/hr, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the areas listed and are subject to modification:

Upholds the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in executing GreenState's mission and vision.

Exhibits a consistent focus on positive member service (both internal and external).

Fosters teamwork in all interactions with colleagues and in the execution of all tasks and responsibilities.

Ensures the confidentiality of member information.

Promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Collaborates closely with SCP, LPP, ASA, and LIR's in the management of client documentation.

Develops a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the agency management system and insurance company platforms.


Sorts and attaches incoming correspondence to customer files and responds appropriately for return mail or assigns follow-up to the responsible SAM/LIR for the account in question.

The SAM/LIR will determine the appropriate course of action.


Retrieves policy declarations, claims, payment, and underwriting request information from company websites daily, attaches it to the client file in the management system, and assigns follow-up to the responsible SAM/LIA/LIR for the account in question.

Contacts customers regarding overdue payment notifications using established email templates. Follows up and processes payments.

Records payments and receipts into the agency management system.

Completes processing projects as assigned.

Performs additional assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).

One to three years of relevant work experience.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Must thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with significant personal disruption.

Demonstrates above-average attention to detail.

Proficient in using computers, calculators, agency management systems, and various software applications.

Ability to coordinate and prioritize extensive, detailed project requirements and schedules. Effective time management skills are essential to manage and complete multiple assignments simultaneously.

Reports to work punctually, fulfills all scheduled hours, and works overtime as required by business needs.

Must be bondable.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Personal Lines Service Manager.

Supervisory Role:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
