Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter Journeyman to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a Pipe Fitter Journeyman, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, installing, testing, and repairing all types of piping systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Lay Out Piping Systems: Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate, and install piping efficiently.
  • Assemble and Secure Pipes: Align, bolt, and clamp together components of fabricated metal products to secure in position for welding.
  • Install Piping Systems: Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding and threading joints.
  • Position and Secure Materials: Position and secure materials and workpieces during installation; and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.
  • Inspect and Test Piping Systems: Hydro test piping systems and inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position, ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to meet all physical requirements, climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft), and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Work Schedule: Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
