Job Title: Journeyman PipefitterJob Summary:

RSC Energy is seeking a skilled Journeyman Pipefitter to join our team. As a key member of our piping crew, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems on US Navy vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, including hot and cold potable water, air and gas, fuel hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Read and interpret ship piping drawings to ensure accurate installation and repair of piping systems.
  • Fabricate and install pipe hangars, and perform other tasks as required.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete responsibilities.
  • Adhere to industry codes, specifications, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • 5 or more years of marine pipefitter work as a first-class pipefitter.
  • Nuclear or Power plant experience is a plus.
  • Able to read and interpret ship piping drawings.
  • Experience fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.
  • Qualified to end prep piping by hand and/or with mechanical hand tools.
  • Braze and tack weld qualified if required by ordering department.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of piping systems and materials.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:

Candidates will be working on US Navy vessels, installing new piping systems and repairing and replacing existing pipe systems.

  • 1⁄2" Drive Sockets (3/8" to 1 1/8").
  • Slotted Blade Screwdriver.
  • Phillips Blade Screwdriver.
  • 8" and 10" Adjustable Wrenches.
  • Pipe Scribe.
  • 8", 10" and 12" Half Round Files.
  • Hack Saw.
  • 1/8" to 1 1/8" Tubing Cutters.
  • Center Punch.
  • Ball Peen Hammer (alb).
  • Rawhide Mallet.
  • 9" Torpedo Level.
  • 6' Folding Ruler.
