Job Title: 6GR Welder

Hiring skilled welders for the Ingleside, TX area. Labor One Staffing is looking for experienced welders to build and repair large structures and platforms. Most fabrication will be done with Flux core.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints and drawings to determine the appropriate welding equipment or method.
  • Set up components of welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  • Verify work to discover flaws.
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety and skills.
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing and PPE.
  • Experience using cutting tools.
  • Ability to measure and cut materials.
  • Pass 6GR Test.
  • Willingness to work in heights and confined spaces.
Welding Test:
  • 6" Pipe Sch. 120, (Root / Fill / Cap) with (FCAW).
  • 6" Pipe Sch. XX, (Root / Fill / Cap) with (FCAW).
  • Open root 1/8 in, root face 1/16in (single-bevel).
  • Gas: 75%ar-25%Co2.
  • Must pass Physical and UA.
