We are seeking a skilled Optician (Part Time) to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving the health and well-being of those we serve.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and oversee the optical store, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist patients in selecting, ordering, and repairing frames and lenses, as well as creating and finishing frames and lenses.
  • Manage inventory, purchase frames and miscellaneous stock as needed, and maintain office and lab equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting patients, answering phone calls, and helping Ophthalmology patients when needed.
  • Meet with frame sales representatives, recommend frames and lenses, and discuss options with patients.
  • Write and send job orders for frames and lenses to the lab, perform fittings, adjustments, and repairs, and cut and mount lenses.
  • Confirm prescriptions, contact patients when glasses are available, and conduct required inventory checks.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, maintaining displays and participating in patient-centered medical home initiatives.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Optician ABO Certified
