Job Description
We are seeking an Optician to work with our team at JD Harris PC dba Beaverton Vision World. As an Optician, you will interact with patients to understand their lifestyle and needs, assist them in selecting eyewear, and take measurements for lenses. You will also help them understand their new products, explain pricing and insurance coverage, and adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations closely.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet and talk with patients to learn their needs for eyewear
  • Make suggestions on frames, and assist patients in choosing the best option for them
  • Take facial measurements to ensure a perfect frame fit
  • Submit orders for the lab
  • Explain pricing, insurance, and payment options to the patient
  • Operate under all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations


Qualifications:
  • Previous optician experience desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA
  • Strong customer service skills
