POSITION SUMMARY

The CDL chauffeur plays a crucial role in delivering courteous and professional services to our clientele. All responsibilities must be executed in alignment with company policies, practices, and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

  1. Ensure safe, reliable, and timely transportation for every client on each journey.
  2. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, including fueling and disposing of trash post-trip.
  3. Keep a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check.
  4. Carry an up-to-date Medical Card at all times.
  5. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Communication

  1. Maintain clear communication with dispatch for all operational needs.
  2. Provide consistent and clear communication throughout the service.

Operations

  1. Exhibit consistent punctuality.
  2. Be familiar with routes, stops, and timing to ensure smooth operations while adhering to driver hour regulations.
  3. Deliver services in accordance with training and specifications.
  4. Complete daily driver logs in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
  5. Efficiently utilize company software and applications.

Customer Service

  1. Address rider inquiries to the best of your ability and direct any concerns to dispatch.
  2. Maintain a friendly demeanor, greeting all passengers and assisting with luggage.
  3. Possess knowledge of popular locations to provide recommendations when requested.

Integrity

  1. Contribute to company goals by taking ownership of your role and assisting with additional responsibilities as needed.
  2. Demonstrate integrity and respect towards all clients and colleagues.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  1. Capability to safely operate a variety of vehicles.
  2. Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
  3. Strong attention to detail.
  4. Excellent customer service abilities.
  5. Familiarity with the Charleston area, including attractions and historical context.
  6. Proficient command of the English language.
  7. Basic computer literacy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  3. Certification/Licensure: Valid driver's license and CDL class A or B with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement - REQUIRED.
