Compensation for Housekeeping Role:
$16.20 / Hourly

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct thorough vacuuming of drapes and furniture.
2. Defrost and sanitize refrigerator/freezer units.
3. Wash windows and change linens.
4. Make beds and maintain cleanliness in bathrooms.
5. Spot clean carpets and ensure kitchen areas are tidy.
6. Adhere to specific instructions provided by residents.
7. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, laundry rooms, and trash disposal areas on assigned floors.
8. Clean exercise rooms, office spaces, and restrooms.
9. Attend all staff meetings and departmental training sessions.
10. Respond promptly to housekeeping emergencies.
11. Execute special cleaning tasks for apartment turnover.
12. Report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to a supervisor.
13. Wear the designated departmental uniform consistently.
14. Follow the established cleaning schedule for all apartments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, or a willingness to learn necessary procedures for the role.
Preferred six months of experience in environmental services, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
This position may require direct care responsibilities or access to resident property or belongings.

Must be capable of regularly lifting 30 pounds and occasionally lifting 50 pounds without assistance. The ability to sit, talk, and hear is also required.

Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP:
The work is conducted within established guidelines and requires periodic supervision. The employee exercises some initiative and independent judgment to effectively fulfill the essential job duties of this position.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHERS:
The employee has no responsibility for others but may assist in training new staff members.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be thoroughly familiar with all safety policies and procedures of Episcopal Church Home.

Actively participates in all fire drills during shifts and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by supervisors and incident managers.

Must comply with facility in-service requirements.
