House Supervisor

Join UHS as a House Supervisor and take on a challenging and rewarding role in our Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our psychiatric unit.

• Develop and manage mental health or chemical dependency-based programs of nursing and other clinical services on the unit.
• Provide overall management and administrative guidance to assigned programs, assessing educational and programmatic needs, and developing policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to provide services to target populations.
• Ensure all staff members deliver care in accordance with Standards of Care and Practice.
• Implement unit policies and procedures, acting as a resource to staff.
• Ensure unit compliance with Joint Commission, TRICARE, HCFA, state, and Federal regulatory standards.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement.
• Assist in developing staffing schedules in accordance with patient needs and facility census.
• Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
• Ensure Infection Control and Safety and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
• Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by nursing services.
• Report critical incidents to the Administrator on Call, Risk Manager, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Nursing Officer.
• Participate in peer review committee and quality improvement activities.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of three years of clinical experience and/or managerial, supervisory, or leadership experience.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or LPN.
• Trained in Non-violent crisis intervention training and CPR.
• Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with teenage and adult patient populations.
