Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to lead our operations team at Verdex Construction. As a key member of our team, you will oversee on-site field administration, supervision, and technical management for day-to-day operations. You will plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure goals are met within the schedule and budget while maintaining a safe site and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise total on-site effort to ensure projects are constructed with design, budget, and schedule, safety, and quality.
  • Coordinate daily subcontractor activities, including pre-installation meetings with each trade contractor.
  • Assist in developing an initial project schedule, monitoring the master construction schedule, and creating a three-week look-ahead schedule.
  • Initiate a project quality plan, monitor initiatives, document observations, and enforce subcontractors to ensure quality of work.
  • Provide technical assistance and direction to clients as required.
  • Actively participate in and lead pre, weekly, and post-construction meetings.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 15 years of supervisory experience in building construction trades with extensive experience and a thorough understanding of the business side of construction.
  • Prior experience in successfully building projects similar in size and complexity.
  • Knowledge of construction budget best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and active listening.
