Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Technologist Lead to join our team at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA. As a Medical Technologist Lead, you will play a critical role in the establishment of laboratory goals and objectives, supervising all aspects of the laboratory, and ensuring that departmental maintenance, quality control, and inventory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and the Laboratory Department Director, establish laboratory goals and objectives.
  • Supervise all aspects of the laboratory, including guest relations, human resource management, and quality assurance.
  • Perform laboratory procedures as instructed by attending physicians and ensure that departmental maintenance, quality control, and inventory requirements are met.
  • Monitor and adjust work and testing schedules to meet requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory/Medical Technology.
  • 5 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
  • 1 year of experience in a high-complexity lab.
  • Expertise in a sub-specialty area of leadership (e.g., microbiology, point-of-care, etc.).
