Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the laboratory, including guest relations, human resource management, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise laboratory procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs
  • Manage laboratory inventory and supplies
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to improve workflow and efficiency
  • Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory/Medical Technology
  • 5 years of clinical laboratory testing experience
  • 1 year of experience in a high-complexity laboratory
  • Expertise in a sub-specialty area of leadership (e.g. microbiology, point-of-care, etc.)
