About the Opportunity

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to study interactions of geology and the cryosphere. As a member of the Institute for Geophysics, you will conduct research projects that produce large data sets and require computational analysis and visualization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct remote sensing experiments with a focus on change detection at the coastal zone.
  • Deploy field equipment for ground-truthing in conjunction with colleagues at the Marine Sciences Institute in Port Aransas.
  • Depending on their interests, the candidate may explore the impacts of coastal change on society through existing collaborations at UT.

About the Position

This postdoctoral position is available immediately and is expected to continue until Aug 31, 2024. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with Drs. David Mohrig and Ginny Catania primarily.
