About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing novel approaches to parallel computing in the context of numerical scientific modeling and simulation workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative solutions to improve the performance of applications heavily dependent on dynamic irregular and time-varying graph data structures.
  • Contribute to the development of future computing plans and architecture design decisions for future scientific computing platforms, methods, and programming.
  • Pursue and obtain external funding to enhance activities, expertise, and resources at TACC.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in EE, CS, or a relevant discipline with ten years of relevant experience.
  • Significant research publication, finding, and implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful hardware, software, and co-design research projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fifteen or more years of post-graduate experience in a position related to the TACC mission.
  • Experience working with federal funding agencies in research infrastructure.
  • Experience with large-scale scientific software and hardware acceleration techniques.
