About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to fill the role of Unit Manager at our Granville Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our unit, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents, and mentoring less experienced nurses to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective care delivery
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive and supportive work environment
  • Mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance their clinical and leadership skills
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal resident outcomes
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of New York
  • Minimum 3 years of long-term care experience, with a focus on leadership and management
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
