Job Summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing expert consultation and liaison services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Psychological Evaluations: Conduct thorough psychological evaluations with pediatric patients, including those with hematology/oncology conditions, to identify behavioral and cognitive strengths and challenges.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop personalized treatment plans that address behavioral and cognitive needs.
  • Provide Expert Consultation: Offer expert consultation and liaison services to multidisciplinary teams, including medical providers, to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
  • Maintain Professional Standards: Maintain required continuing education credits and adhere to professional standards of conduct, as required by state licensing boards and OSF HealthCare.
  • Build Relationships: Foster positive working relationships with hospital staff, outside agencies, and patients to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology: Possess a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution and be licensed to practice psychology in the State of Illinois.
  • Experience in Pediatric Psychology: Prefer candidates with experience in conducting evaluations with preschool-age through older adolescent populations within a medical setting.
  • Expertise in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology: Expertise in evaluating and monitoring pediatric hematology/oncology patients is preferred.
