We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist with patient assessment and care provision under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include measuring and recording patient information, specimen management, observing and reporting patient responses, identifying and reporting deviations, and performing laboratory tests at the bedside or Point-of-Care.
This is a per diem opportunity, working nights, women & children's unit. The ideal candidate will have 3 months clerical experience and 3 months experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in an acute care setting. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $40,000 - $50,000 annually, based on industry standards and location. About the Job:
• Assist with patient assessment and care provision under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Measure and record patient information
• Specimen management – Obtain, prepare, and preserve a specimen for a laboratory test
• Observe and report patient responses
• Identify and report deviations
• Perform laboratory tests at the bedside or Point-of-Care
Responsibilities:
• Prepare treatment rooms for each patient
• Transport patients from one location to another
• Assist patients with bedpans, urinals, and commodes
• Feed patients who are unable to feed themselves
• Pass, collect, and check food trays
Requirements:
• High school graduate with office practice courses
• Graduate of an LNA program
• ARC or AHA BLS certification
• LNA licensure
