**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Community Support Specialist to join our team at Bowery Residents Committee (BRC). As a Community Support Specialist, you will provide critical support to individuals in need, helping them navigate the complexities of homelessness and achieve their goals.

About the Job:

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients in applying for and maintaining entitlements
  • Connect clients with community resources and services
  • Ensure client safety and well-being through regular apartment visits

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least three years of relevant experience and high school diploma/GED required
  • Experience working with substance abuse and/or mentally ill population required
