Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic clinic team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare teams and enhancing patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general patient care following established clinic workflows.
  • Prepare patients for healthcare providers by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, and completing applicable screening questionnaires.
  • Collect and prepare ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepare and provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Ensure patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
  • Escalate non-routine issues, questions, and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
Requirements
  • Graduate of medical assisting program.
  • Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
