The Beverage Service Specialist is responsible for crafting and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons at the bar and service bar, adhering to established recipes and company policies regarding alcoholic beverages. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify the age of guests ordering alcoholic drinks who appear to be 40 years old or younger.
  • Foster a friendly and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a neighborhood bar.
  • Efficiently prepare, garnish, and serve beverages to guests.
  • Personalize the experience for returning guests by remembering their names and preferred drinks.
  • Facilitate food orders from guests seated at the bar in coordination with the kitchen staff.
  • Become familiar with the menu to provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Encourage guests to try additional food or drink items when suitable.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized bar area.
  • Accurately process all orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Adhere to all relevant brand standards for service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Consistently present a neat and professional appearance in the company-approved uniform.
  • Proficient in operating the POS system, handling cash transactions, and processing credit card payments.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with guests calmly and effectively, involving a manager when necessary.
  • Successfully complete bar validation requirements.
  • Respond clearly and effectively to guest inquiries.
  • Possess good hearing ability to communicate in a lively bar environment.
  • Capable of lifting and transporting 30 lb. cases over short distances, including stairs.
