Project Overview:We are engaged in a significant project involving a mid-scale Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility. This facility is designed to include multiple process plants, utilities, and storage tanks, all aimed at enhancing energy access and operational efficiency.
Position Summary:As an Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site project support and providing technical guidance to address daily equipment challenges. Your role will involve conducting audits, facilitating product training, managing requisitions for field purchases, and evaluating vendor bids and project control documents. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that equipment quality, quantity, and safety standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and manage the maintenance of fleet equipment and service documentation.
- Monitor and analyze fleet usage for efficiency.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and repair programs, ensuring timely and quality execution of work.
- Manage equipment maintenance reporting systems and documentation.
- Assess workforce requirements and prepare operating cost budgets for equipment.
- Review and authorize Field Material Requisitions for necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Supervise subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with specifications and timelines.
- Provide training to promote safe equipment usage practices.
- A degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline, complemented by 10+ years of relevant experience, or 15+ years of practical experience in the field.
- Familiarity with various heavy equipment brands and models.
- Understanding of equipment warranties and performance standards.
- Knowledge of multi-discipline construction and operational functions.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and practices.
- Strong leadership skills in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and customer relations abilities.
- Certification as a Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) is advantageous.
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
